2009 NFL Week 14 Picks and Predictions – Free NFL Picks Week 14

I feel 2009 NFL Week 13 was a quite weird. Did Oakland beat Pittsburgh? Did New Orleans and Washington go to overtime? Does really Brett Favre looks human?

Any way, check out NFL Betting and i think NFL Week 14 continues to entertain. The AFC wildcard race is completely up for grabs as is the AFC East and West divisional races and the NFC East and West have some uncertainty at the top.

Here are 2009 NFL Week 14 picks & predictions:

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland, 8:20PM ET

The Steelers have lost four in a row. This clearly tells how far Pittsburgh has fallen. However, they are playing the Browns and will get a win to stay relevant in the wildcard race.

Pittsburgh 20, Cleveland 10

New Orleans vs. Atlanta, 1:00PM ET

With Matt Ryan back the Falcons will be more in competitive spirit than they were in NFL Week 13. Against the Redskins, after seeing the Saints exposures this could be a challenging contest. Still the Saints are the Saints, you can not pick against them until they give a lawful reason.

New Orleans 31, Atlanta 21

NFL Week 14 Predictions and Picks 2009

Detroit vs. Baltimore, 1:00PM ET

The Lions rank near the bottom. If Baltimore hopes to stay in the playoff race, then they will need this one.
Baltimore 24, Detroit 13

Green Bay vs. Chicago, 1:00PM ET

If the Bears win, then they win against low level opponents. The Packers are better but a low level opponent. Green Bay stays in the game and constantly works whether they win or lose.

Green Bay 20, Chicago 13
Seattle vs. Houston, 1:00PM ET

Last week, the Seahawks posted a win against the 49ers. However, they were less than dominant in their endeavors. The Texans are toughest division in the NFL and need to prove this time.

Houston 27, Seattle 17

Miami vs. Jacksonville, 1:00PM ET, CBS

5-1 home record for the Jaguars. They are tied for the lead in the wildcard. The Dolphins are coming off of a confidence with their win over the Patriots. These teams are evenly matched and will play a close contest.

Jacksonville 20, Miami 17

NY Jets vs. Tampa Bay, 1:00PM ET, CBS

The Jets have ranked in first in defense and the Buccaneers are bad.

NY Jets 24, Tampa Bay 10
Carolina vs. New England, 1:00PM ET

The Patriots are mortal in NFL season. Tom Brady had a throw for 352 yards but when they were in need, the New England defense could not come up with a stop.

New England 28, Carolina 17

Cincinnati vs. Minnesota, 1:00PM ET, CBS

I think the best featured match up of the week. Cincinnati has changed its position scorer to a meager defensive squad. Last week, Minnesota took a beating but still carries a more balanced team.

Minnesota 24, Cincinnati 17

Buffalo vs. Kansas City, 1:00PM ET, CBS

On Thursday Night, the Bills lost a tough one but still they have a respectable crowd. We never know when Kansas City is going to have a decent game there by to surprise an opponent.

Buffalo 17, Kansas City 13

Denver vs. Indianapolis, 1:00PM ET, CBS
Broncos did not turn things around last week. Against the sad Chiefs, they may play. Indianapolis continues to impress still.

Indianapolis 30, Denver 17

St. Louis vs. Tennessee, 4:05PM ET

In the 2010 NFL Draft, Rams are continuing to compete for the #1 pick. Titans may not be there yet but are definitely better than the Rams.

Tennessee 35, St. Louis 20

Washington vs. Oakland, 4:05PM ET

With a new QB at the helm for the Raiders, it is hard to judge just how good or bad they are. The Redskins should have a much better record and their semi respectable defense will shut down the inconsistent Oakland offense.
Washington 21, Oakland 12

San Diego vs. Dallas, 4:15PM ET

The Chargers have been on a roll while the Cowboys have been all over the page. So far this NFL season Dallas has been hardnosed at home. San Diego has been playing equally well on the road. The consistency of the Chargers will tip the scales here. 2009 NFL Week 14 Picks and Predictions

San Diego 24, Dallas 21

Philadelphia vs. NY Giants, 8:20PM ET

Just when you thought the Giants were toast they come back with a win to stay in the thick of things. Statistically New York has a better team but the record says otherwise. The Eagles have been rolling along nicely lately and will carry that momentum into Week 14.

Philadelphia 27, NY Giants 20

Monday, December 14th

Arizona vs. San Francisco, 8:30PM ET

A week ago this was building up to be a much more interesting game. Unfortunately for the 49ers they made some poor end of game decisions in Week 13 that could have cost them a playoff spot.

Arizona 31, San Francisco 17

Heat vs Lakers NBA betting Picks - Friday, December 4, 10:30 PM ET – The Heat (10-7 as of Thursday) began their Western swing with a 107-100 win in Portland, and then they face a very tough Denver team on Thursday, which means they could be a bit worn down by Friday. Michael Beasley scored 27 points to lead the way against the Trailblazers, and that’s what the Heat’s NBA odds depend on. We all know that Wade will get his points, one way or another, but they need Beasley to step up and be a dependable secondary option to Wade, who averaged 31.0 points in two meetings with the Lakers last season. NBA Betting Odds list the total in this Miami at L.A. Lakers game is set at 198 points.

NBA Basketball Picks The Lakers (14-3) have won seven in a row by an average of 16.7 points, and with Pau Gasol in the lineup, the Lakers may be unstoppable offensively. He opens up the floor, and when he gets a doube team, Gasol is an excellent passer out of the post. Andrew Bynum is also playing very well, and of course, there’s Bryant. The only thing that can stop the Lakers’ NBA odds is a Ron Artest distraction, and he admitted that he drank during games while he was in Chicago, but the Lakers have enough leadership to ensure that won’t get in the way. Bryant averaged 23.5 points against the Heat last year.

where they are 11-2 and have won four straight over the Heat, who were 4-2 on the road heading into Thursday’s game. All eyes will be on Wade and Bryant, but the key to this game will be secondary scoring, which the Lakers have in droves. Especially at home, the Lakes are the sports betting play in this game.

Thursday Night Football Week 13 Live Odds-New York Jets Vs Buffalo Bills

Thursday Night Football Live-New York Jets Vs Buffalo Bills :The Buffalo Bills’ once-woeful offense may be coming together just in time to impress the team’s prospective fans in Canada.

The New York Jets’ resurgent defense, however, will be trying to help resuscitate the club’s slim playoff hopes when the AFC East rivals tangle in Toronto on Thursday night, playing the Bills’ second in a series of regular-season home games at Rogers Centre.

Seeking to reach out to fans across Lake Ontario, Buffalo is scheduled to play a total of five contests in Toronto — one per season through 2012 — but the experiment did not begin well last year, with many in attendance supporting Miami in the Bills’ 16-3 loss on Dec. 7.

“I think you’re always hoping to have a little bit more of an electric atmosphere for the home team,” punter Brian Moorman said. “We’ll see what happens with the Jets. But obviously, we’d like for the people across the border to be Bills fans.”

On the heels of four straight losing seasons and a 3-7 start, the Bills (4-7) gave their home fans reason to cheer during a 31-14 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

After averaging 12.3 points in the previous eight games, Buffalo broke out with 24 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, including a 51-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Terrell Owens — the second time the duo hooked up for a lengthy score in the last two weeks.

“It was nice for our team, I think it’ll give us a boost,” Fitzpatrick said. “I guess there’s a renewed optimism.”

A coaching change has apparently helped, with interim coach Perry Fewell earning his first win in the second game after replacing Dick Jauron. Fewell, who has never been a head coach at any level, may have limited time in the role with the Bills reportedly chasing former Denver coach Mike Shanahan.

Fewell had been the defensive coordinator, but has fostered a more aggressive offensive philosophy while the defense has continued to force turnovers. The Bills had four interceptions against Miami, boosting their takeaway total to 25 — tied for third-most in the NFL.

They picked off the Jets (5-6) six times in a 16-13 overtime road victory Oct. 18, with New York rookie Mark Sanchez all but throwing the game away with five interceptions. Sanchez has continued to struggle, tossing two touchdowns and seven interceptions in the last three games.

Earlier this week, first-year Jets coach Rex Ryan reached out to New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi to teach Sanchez how to slide better, in hopes of helping the quarterback avoid injury.

“He’s too valuable and he needs to understand that we need him out there and people are going to take shots at him if he doesn’t start sliding,” Ryan said of Sanchez. “I really did want to make an emphasis to Mark and get the best guy that we can in the area.”

Sanchez was 13 of 17 for 154 yards and just one interception Sunday, enabling the defense to carry the Jets to a 17-6 victory over Carolina, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Panthers were held to 179 total yards — an effort resembling New York’s stingy play during its 3-0 start.

Ryan’s club quickly faded after that, dropping six of seven before Sunday’s win, but the Jets remain one game out in a crowded AFC wild-card race and two back in the division chase.

“We can’t focus on the future and what could happen five or six weeks down the road,” fullback Tony Richardson said. “We need to focus on what’s in front of us. Right now is another opportunity to go out and try to play well against a Buffalo team that really put it on Miami.”

The game may have special meaning for Ryan, who was raised in Toronto by his mother between the ages of 3 and 15.

“I think it’s going to be great,” he said. “I’m glad we’re doing it. We just want to win. We don’t care if it’s in Toronto, in Buffalo or right here. Makes no difference to us. We’re going to do whatever it takes to get a win.”
